Dynamic prices and extra benefits in October
Through dynamic pricing, EV drivers benefit from fair and transparent charging prices based on the real-time electricity price. This encourages charging during times when more renewable energy is available, helping to ease pressure on the electricity grid. Charging is cheaper during these periods. The free PowerGo Charge app provides insight into charging prices for the next 24 hours.
In October, EV drivers receive a discount on the dynamic kWh price when they use the PowerGo Charge app. Read more information about the promotion via this link.
The opening of the new charging location was celebrated in a special way. The first customers to charge their EVs were surprised with cake from Jumbo Bedum and PowerGo.
Green solution
Because of the congested electricity network in the Netherlands, PowerGo installed a charger with an integrated battery system. The charging solution temporarily stores energy to be used for a later charging session. This relieves the electricity grid at peak moments and allows it to meet charging needs at other times.
As part of PowerGo’s broader sustainability strategy, PowerGo works with solar energy, generated from Dutch solar parks of parent company PowerField.
Extra service for customers
The charging time matches the average time customers spend in the Jumbo store. This means that in many cases, the car is fully charged by the time customers finish their shopping.
With this new charging solution, Jumbo Bedum and PowerGo offer a green and user-friendly service to EV drivers from across the region.
