Charge Point Operator (CPO) PowerGo and the Danish EV charging platform Spirii recently won three tenders for the installation of charging stations in Denmark. 178 charging outlets will be deployed in the municipalities of Vejle, Vejen and Gladsaxe.
- Vejle municipality: 40 AC charging outlets (22 kilowatt);
- Gladsaxe municipality: 54 AC charging outlets (22 kilowatt) and one DC charging station with 4 outlets (400 kilowatt);
- Vejen municipality: 84 AC charging outlets (22 kilowatt).
These are the first projects that PowerGo will start in Denmark. The deployment of the 178 charging outlets will be completed during 2023.
Charge Point Operator PowerGo will deploy, manage, and operate the charging points using the EV charging platform from Spirii. The chargers will be installed by installers Gilbarco Veeder-Root and Kemp & Lauritzen. Spirii will also provide the charging and payment app for all EV drivers to easily access the chargers. The user-friendly technology embedded in the app is key to why PowerGo has chosen Spiriis international charging platform to operate the charging points.
‘’The realization of the charging points in the municipalities is an important milestone for PowerGo, as part of our ambition to realize a large-scale public charging network across Europe. We are excited and look forward to starting these very first projects in Denmark together with Spirii, and make charging easier and more fun for every EV driver.’’, says Ivo van Dam, CTO of PowerGo. Tore Harritshøj, co-founder and CEO in Spirii: “We are extremely happy to see PowerGo enter the Danish market and deliver a user-centric charging solution. As preferred charging platform, we’re honored to enable the ambitions of PowerGo to deploy and scale a charging network across Europe – offering EV drivers great convenience and easy access to charging and payment.”
