PowerGo installs green charging stations at holiday parks TopParken
TopParken has entered into a partnership with PowerGo. The 12 holiday parks of TopParken will be equipped with charging stations for electric cars. These provide green energy from the solar parks of PowerField, the parent company of PowerGo. Last week, the first charging stations at Resort Veluwe were put into use.
The collaboration came about after TopParken was looking for a party to install charging stations. After only a few discussions, the cooperation contract was signed. At Resort Veluwe in Garderen, the first (fast) charging stations have now been put into use and the other holiday parks will follow in the coming months. In addition to Resort Veluwe, Landgoed de Scheleberg will also be equipped with a 60kW fast charging pole, with which electric cars will be charged in no time.
The 12 holiday parks of TopParken are spread throughout the Netherlands. ‘In order to welcome guests from all over the country to our parks and to keep up with contemporary developments, it is of great importance to offer this service at our holiday parks,’ says Frank Bolderman, operational manager at TopParken. He continues: ‘The fact that PowerGo provides green, clean energy has made us decide to work with them. In this way, we not only optimise the customer journey, but we also contribute to a sustainable world.’
The Dutch company PowerGo has set itself the goal of having realized more than 5000 fast charging points throughout Europe within 2 years. PowerGo guarantees that the electricity supplied comes 100% from the self-generated solar energy. In the meantime, more than 500 fast charging points are on order and PowerGo is ready for large-scale roll-out of charging points.
PowerGo has offices in the Netherlands and Spain and is working on developments and roll-out in Germany, Belgium and France, among others. A further number of large collaborations will be announced in the coming period.
