New fast charger for Jumbo

Driving electric just got easier for residents and visitors in Emmen, a city in the province of Drenthe (the Netherlands). PowerGo has recently installed a fast charger in the car park of supermarket Jumbo Weerdingerstraat. With a capacity of 50 kilowatts and two charging points, drivers can quickly charge their electric vehicles.

Efficient and convenient

The charging station is publicly accessible and available to everyone. In addition, charging can easily be combined with a supermarket visit. “In many cases, the car is almost fully charged by the time the shopping is done. This makes charging while shopping very efficient,” says Harrold Klaver, Branch Manager at Jumbo Weerdingerstraat. “With this fast charger, we’re offering an extra service to our customers.”

The fast charger features dynamic pricing, which adjusts according to the current energy market. Drivers can benefit from lower charging prices when electricity is cheaper. The free PowerGo Charge app provides insight into charging prices for the next 24 hours. Charging and payment can be done using a charging card, tag or app.

Green energy

PowerGo installs fast chargers at Jumbo supermarkets across the Netherlands and Belgium. Every kilowatt-hour charged at PowerGo is connected to electricity from Dutch solar parks, making electric driving even more sustainable.

With this new charger, Jumbo Weerdingerstraat and PowerGo are offering a green and user-friendly solution for electric drivers across the region.
