Foundation Het Drentse Landschap (the Netherlands) and PowerGo recently entered into a partnership. The foundation is committed to protecting nature and heritage in Drenthe, a province in the north of the Netherlands. Sustainability is an important theme for Het Drentse Landschap; where possible, it looks for sustainable solutions. This is also the case in Orvelte, where the parking spaces are being modernised. The first PowerGo fast charging stations will be installed in those parking spaces.
Orvelte is a lively and hospitable ‘monument village’, which still exudes the atmosphere of a 19th-century village of Drenthe. The village attracts many visitors every year. To facilitate these visitors even better, it will be possible to charge their electric car quickly and easily. Three DC30 PowerGo fast charging stations will be installed at both parking spaces in Orvelte. Six cars can charge here at the same time.
Great combination
Arnold Kooistra, project leader at Het Drentse Landschap, about the collaboration with PowerGo: “We are very happy with the possibilities that PowerGo offers. More and more people are driving electrically; in this way we can offer an extra service to visitors. It also has something special, modern and sustainable fast charging stations at a historic location.” The fast charging stations serve as a pilot. The intention is to install charging stations at more locations of Het Drentse Landschap in the near future.
Charging with solar energy
PowerGo is a subsidiary of PowerField. PowerGo’s fast charging stations supply 100% sustainable energy from solar parks. This ensures sustainable energy consumption and supports the energy transition. Charging solutions for all EV drivers and green energy is a big part of PowerGo’s ambition to become a major CPO (Charge Point Operator ) in Europe.
